This is what it looks like. I went on holiday for a few days and came back to this, using a samsung 500gb SSD, have never had any problems like this before. Did a virus scan and it got to 99% with no viruses and had an error finishing the last percent. Anyone know a fix to this?

Solution
Look at the other tabs in Task Manager.... Performance, App History, and so on.

See if some process or service is running that you do not recognize or expect to be running. Lots of things may be running and some are critical. Others not.

Then you can right click any given process/service and "End Task".

See if the Disk Usage goes back to normal. You need to know what software is utilizing the disk(s).

I ended up having to do a clean install of windows because it just wouldn't load. Still seem to be having some sort of issue and logs don't show anything. I used my SSD's software to do a benchmark and all seemed ok. Also swapped the sata cables on the SSD which I don't know if it did anything.
