What would be the best place for my fans in my PC for optimal cooling/airflow?

Here's a picture of my PC with arrows showing the directions of airflow I have it set up as right now. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0rp8o2270ntwgdq/12999617_1305416256140583_1484098467_o.jpg?dl=0

I have an fx 8350 being cooled by a hyper 212 evo on an asrock 970m pro3 mobo in a rosewill challenger case. My pc gets very warm when I play games and do anything heavily cpu intensive, My motherboard only has slots for 2 case fans and I currently have one fan blowing air in onto the cpu cooler and another fan blow out right next to the cpu cooler. There is one fan not being used facing to blow air in by the hard drive bays. I'm not an expert on airflow that's why I'm asking for help. I was thinking that maybe I should turn my cpu cooler 90 degrees clockwise and have the fan by the hard drives blowing air in.

Feel free to ask questions if I worded something wrong.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, Thanks

You are 100% correct.
Turn the CPU cooler so it blows out, through the rear exhaust fan, and turn the front fan on, using it to blow in.
Note that a lot of cases come with sub standard fans, several companies make very high quality parts that are not only quiet but can shift a lot of air, a pair of 120mm Noctuas for example may very well improve airflow but also cut the noise.

Coozie is absolutely correct. Another thing to do, is try and pick up a cheap fan cable splitter. Or even a fan controller. It will allow you to hook up more fans for better airflow. Optimal would be two fans pussing air in by the hard drives, whith two fans pulling air out at the top rear like this:

If I'm reading the specs on the Challenger case correctly, it MIGHT be possible to install a side fan (lower position) as an additional intake ( blowing in ) to help keep that big R9 390 cool by giving it some extra airflow, but the case only allows one front intake fan.
Having played around with a Hyper 212 in my previous i5 750 build, I can say it doesn't like having either exhaust or intake fans in the case roof, installing either in that rig increased the CPU temperatures by a few degrees.
Fan controllers are GOOD ;) prices vary wildly but they have the advantage over BIOS fan control of being far more convenient; It's easy to turn the fans down when lightly loaded then turn them up for gaming and even my little Sythe Karma 2 isn't stressed with running a full liquid loop (fans and pump).

Would you suggest having my 212 evo having air blow onto, or out of it? I have air blowing onto it now
