No display on the monitor, Please Help

Hey, I have a GTX 950 GPU, and when I connect the VDI to the monitor, nothing is displayed, along with the yellow light. Everything on the motherboard (including GPU) is working or seems to be working, perfectly fine. Fans running, etc. The monitor also seems to be working fine, with power. On startup of the monitor, I see the Asus logo, and then I see "No Signal" that then cuts out after about 3 seconds, then nothing is displayed after. Everything is also wired up correctly, and VDI through GPU. The only problem is that nothing is shown. Any Thoughts? Any help is appreciated!

For some reason, the hdmi doesn't work (though it is straight from motherboard)
but i will try another cable, Thanks!

I think I figured it out, but do you need the HDMI or VGA or whatever to be from the port on the graphics card in order for it to take effect?
