To answer your question... Yes, and no. The people who fit those cards in modified their cases or took out the fan. If you are down to cutting pieces out of it go ahead. HOWEVER I own a 980ti and it spits a lot of heat out. DO NOT put that in there without a fan or proper cooling. If you find a way to rig it, go ahead.
