I wouldn't be so sure of that.

Its an older HP PCIe 2.0 board, they are known for having problems with newer PCIe 3.0 GPU's, especially Nvidia 900 series.

Helal_1, you should check the HP forums for those with the same model PC as you have to see if you find anyone who has run a GTX 970 in their PC.

Also as was mentioned, if you have your stock PSU it will not work or provide enough power for a GTX 970 so plan to replace that too, if this will even work.

Someone I know is using a GTX 950 with that exact MOBO , an ASUS mini version if memory serves correctly , but yeah I shouldn't have said "will definitely work " without first hand experience .
