Please, I connect my OCZ Vertex 2 SSDs and they do not appear in Windows Disk Management nor BIOS. I'm wondering why.

Yes, all the ports are enabled. Only one of my two identical Vertex SSDs appeared in BIOS. I was able to clone it. When I switched the other Vertex to the same port that I knew was working, then neither Vertex appeared in BIOS. I have no problem with the port for the Samsung 850 Pro nor with the port for the SATA CD-ROM. I plugged a Vertex into the port that was being used by the CD-ROM but it still didn't show. All the ports are hot plug enablled but it remains that these two Vertex can't be seen in Windows Disk Management. The only item I see disabled for any port in SATA configuration, or elsewhere, is the external port options, but these are internal disks.

Well if they don't appear in the BIOS, they definitely won't be seen in Disk Management.

It appears you have the latest revision of BIOS for your motherboard. Have you tried resetting the CMOS to see if that helps?

Have you tried the drives in another computer to see if the are detected?

Are these OCZ drives new? If not, are you the first owner or did you buy them from someone else?

Yes, about the BIOS & Disk Management I know; I was just stating a desired result -- thanks, though. I reset the CMOS. I bought these OCZ disks new and they worked fine in the previous computer for years -- until I put them them in this new build a couple of months ago. I checked their health and the rating is 99-100%. In the previous machine they always appeared in BIOS. Presently, only one of them is showing. It's an OS clone I did yesterday which booted up and ran without issue. I rechecked the BIOS settings and the manual again. Why not the other SSD showing in BIOS?

I didn't have to at this go because now finally all three disks appear in BIOS. What I did was connect the two OCZs first, and booted with one of them into Windows, then I shut down, connected the Samsung, and booted into Windows again. After that, I checked the BIOS and all three were showing and have continued to show in BIOS and F12 boot menu through several boots. Why the procedure actually resolves I don't know. Do you have any insight?

Could have been a flaky SATA or Power connection. Or an intermittent cable on the "bad" drive. Just to be safe, I'd probably at the very least change the SATA cable to the "bad" drive.

In all likelihood, just the fact of plugging them in again may have been enough to fix it. It might have shown all three devices on the first go if that had been the route you took.
