Upgrade card or buy another for SLI?

I currently have a MSI Geforce GTX 970 Gaming 4G Golden edition. Would it be more worth my money to buy a second card and run SLI, or sell my card and buy an MSI Geforce GTX 980 ti Gaming 6G Golden Edition?

I plan on running a 3 1080p monitor setup in the future for music production, video editing, and to be used for completing school work and browsing.

Hello. The best solution is to sell gtx 970 and to buy 980.. 1 gtx 980 is better than 2 gtx 970.

The R9 390 or 390x is better when running multiple monitors. 8 GB of vRAM really helps.

1 980 is not better than 2 970's. And at this point it would be better to just wait and see what the new line of GPU's has to offer before making a decision.
