This would perform better and the PSU is a lot safer:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty H170 Performance ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($158.99 @ Mwave Australia)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($53.00 @ CPL Online)
Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($59.00 @ Centre Com)

im going with a corsair cx500m instead and as for the cpu i prefer the fx6300 over the i3, cos from what ive seen the fx has a better price to performance value

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit) ($139.00 @ CPL Online)
Total: $1005.99

i'd prefer samsung ssd over the kingston

As long as you're not buying cheap Chinese SSDs from Ebay brand doesn't really matter (unless you're making an SSD NAS).

im going with a corsair cx500m

Corsair CX are also junk.

Better price-to-performance does not equate to better performance in games.

CX 500M is a poor quality PSU for running a GPU, its made for basic computers and generally runs into problems with a strong power draw.

Very likely for the same exact price you could get an i3-6100 and an H110 motherboard that would absolutely demolish that FX-6300 setup and not be old outdated technology. At this point the FX platform is a waste of money.

Mr Kagouris has put together a build for you above that is worlds better than yours and a far better use of your money.

No, the processor is locked and there are no unlocked i3's, you would need to move up to an i5-6600k, and a Z170 motherboard.

There were some lower boards that did allow a little overclocking of locked chips but that feature has been removed, and bards that can do it are rare now.
