Why does my keyboard do this?

Whenever I am playing a game, I hit tab to see the leaderboard but the leaderboard flickers as if I am spamming the key instead of holding it down.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Did you get a keyboard with n-key rollover? that means it keeps sending the key to the PC as long as you hold down the key. Most mechanical keyboards work like that. Cheap dome keyboards often doesn't.

But this never happened before I switched keyboard and usually the leaderboard stays up and then goes away after you let go.

Turn off the sticky keys option in windows for your keyboard settings.
If you hear a short beep when holding the tab key down.


Click on start, control panel.
Ease of access.

Select: Change how your keyboard works.

1. Untick the check box for turn on sticky keys.

2. Untick the check box for Turn on filter settings

3. And untick the check box for turn on toggle keys.

Click apply then ok.
