Hello guys!

I tried to find solution to my answer but I am not rly sure what to think. My cousin asked me to make her 4520s faster.

I found out that it only has 3GB RAM and she uses millions of tabs in her browsers (firefox). So more RAM came to my mind. I checked her RAM usage and it said 94 %. Do you think 2bit win 7 in this old notebook will benefit it? And should I get rid of 1 GB module and get second 2 GB or try to get new RAM set 2+2GB?

Thank you very much.

Adding RAM to over 3GB on 32 bit windows will net just about 256 MB to overall RAM which will not help much if any. To make use of all 4GB you need 64bit windows which in turn uses more RAM than 32bit.
Even 3GB should be enough for many tabs opened in FF.
You better check for and disable all unnecessary programs starting up with windows as they can grab quite a lot of RAM and slow everything down. Memory as well as CPU cycles which can slow everything down to a crawl.
Also check for all kinds of malware and PuPs as in my experience, most inexperienced users tend to fill up with that stuff.
