Hello! If I had two laptops with completely same specs but one of the laptops had 8GB DDR3L 1600MHz of RAM and the other laptop had 8GB DDR4 2133MHz would there be any noticeable difference in performance between these two different types of RAM?

If there is a difference in performance in what kind of tasks would it be noticeable while coming from DDR3L to DDR4?

Thanks!

When it comes to DDR3 and DDR4 RAM, differences are rarely noticeable. This can be seen in games, where RAM almost never affects FPS or overall performance. However, when doing heavy video rendering or multitasking, you may see a slight difference between the two. From the specs you provided, theoretically the DDR4 RAM could be faster. However, with this being said you will have to research into the CAS and quality of both sticks.

first of all, can you tell us what two laptops you are talking about?

DDR3L is the low power version of DDR3, made for laptops and SFF computers. usually used for older generation computers and cheap computers.
DDR4 is the new version of DRAM for computers, and is faster than DDR3 (2133 base compared to 1333), and uses less power, making it a viable option in laptops.

the Skylake arquitecture from Intel can use both of these standards, but the DDR4 is the more used one.

I'd say to go with the DDR4 option, but the rest of the components will determine it for me.

for the same specs graphics only changes
DDR3L HAS 4GB DDR3L NIVIDIA 940M GRAPHIC CARD GRAPHIC CARD
DDR4RAM HAS 2GB DDR3 NIVIDIA 940MX GRAPHIC CARD

which one is best?
