My PSU has one 6-pin & 8-pin cables

Hello!

I need HELP PLEASE??? I have a PSU that has one 6-pin and one 8-pin cable that connects to a video card? but the video cards that I want to upgrade to has either a single 6-pin or a 8-pin? so how do I solve this? PLEASE HELP???

    Hi, In this case you'd connect only the 6 pin / 8 pin power cable.
  2. Hi, are you sure that it will be safe to connect only one of the 6-pin or 8-pin power cables to the card and to leave the other one loose in there?
  3. Yes. It is safe. If the card needs only one PCIe power cable, then that's all that you have to connect. It's similar with the SATA power cables. You don't connect them all, if you don't have to.
