Stuck on screen splash when booting up after reinstalling CMOS battery.

After trying reinstalling the CMOS battery (because the Intel graphics where disabled), when rebooting the computer, the screen freezes on the Dell splash screen. I've tried to reset it but it just says "there was a problem resetting your computer". I've gone into the BIOS setup multiple times trying to reset it to factory settings or Default settings but when it restarts it still gets stuck on the splash screen. I'm uncomfortable with the idea of opening the motherboard again and trying to disconnect things so are there another solutions?
It's a XPS 8900
6th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor
Windows 10 Home

2TB 7.2k HDD + 32GB SSD cache
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 750Ti 2GB DDR5

Solution
One possibility is that the BIOS reset itself to the wrong SATA mode. If Win was originally installed with the SATA mode set to AHCI and the reset reverted it back to IDE, Win will not boot. The vice-versa could also be the problem. Check in BIOS to see if there is an option for SATA mode. If so, try the other mode.
