Hello Tom's Hardware!

I have an external Toshiba hard drive that works under USB 3.0 and 2.0. File explorer doesn't see it. I moved it to another USB port and it still didn't display.

It isn't listed under Disk Management or Device Management.

I uninstalled all of my USB controllers under Device Manager and rebooted, but the hard drive still won't show up anywhere. It's light is solid and I don't hear any activity.

How can I fix this?

Solution
I fixed it.

After uninstalling the USB controllers and rebooting, plugging the drive back into the first port made it show up under Drive Management. I deleted the partition on the drive and reformatted it. Now it works fine.
