One of my PCs uses wifi dongle to connect to the Internet. However, for some reason the connection to the wifi router is super unstable if any and I can barely use it. Interestingly enough, when I use my phone's wifi access point (or whatever it is called) I successfully broadcast Internet to that PC and browsing is quite responsive, which is not the case when connected to the router. Apparently there is some problem with the wifi router, though it is farely new and powerful and powers tons of other things in the house (PCs, laptops, TVs, smartphones). I have no clue to why on earth it has some specific problem with this PC (even when the many of the other devices are offline) . That's why I need your inpust here and expect some ideas for solution. Thanks in advance!

Solution
where is the router in relation to the the PC?

how many walls are there between the router and the PC?

what are the wall made of?

how strong is the signal in dB that you get from the router?

The distance is about 3-4m.
They are separated by an ytong wall, though they are placed along the wall, so if we connect them with a straight line I'd say it goes mostly through the wall.
As long as signal goes, I measured it with my phone at around -40dB. However, the PC is in the corner of the room and the dongle is at the back of the case , so it's generally surrounded from every side by the walls and the very computer case. This made me curious so I put the phone right next to the dongle and the signal dropped to -80dB. And that might be the problem?

I turned the PC case so that the dongle is no longer "trapped" by walls and the case. This sufficiently improved the connection and there haven't been any problems for two days now, so I believe my problem is solved. If any problem occurs, I will update you here.
