Hi!
I've searched for some time now and still haven't found an answer. Does anyone know why the internal hard drive i took from a win7 computer won't show when i plug it in to my computer using a SATA to USB adapter? The only thing showing is a partition named "PQSERVICE" that has a total of 12gb. I hoped to save the files on the hard drive because the motherboard on the other computer stopped working.
Is there anyone who now this problem and can help me solve it? Would appreciate it very much!:)

It seems most likely that your disk got corrupted. Were I in your situation, I would first try a different adapter and a different machine. If the simple approach did not work, I would go to a free software utility like Recuva or EASEUS Data Recover Wizard. I suspect, but do not know, that both of these will show you what can be recovered with the free version but will require payment to do a bulk recover.

If the files are of great value to you, there are recovery services. They can easily go over a thousand dollars, though.
