I was having C drive of 500 GB with Windows 10 then I decided to reset the Laptop. It deleted all the files.

Then after it has completed, I made c drive of 200 GB by the shrink.

I want to recover data from the old drive (500 GB). So how can I recover it?

I am aware of Easeus Data Recovery. But the problem is my c drive is only 200 GB.

So can I recover data by selecting current C (200GB) drive in Easeus

Hey there, ShockFK.

This is not really good. Not only you've probably overwritten a lot of the data, but you have also changed the partitions and unfortunately both of those actions make it less likely for you to recover the data easily. You could try the software you are referring to. Here are a bunch of more options for you to try: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html & http://pcsupport.about.com/od/filerecovery/tp/free-file-recovery-programs.htm. You should avoid writing more data on that drive so it would be best if you could download and install the data recovery programs on a different drive.

Unfortunately as I've already mentioned, it won't be easy to recover overwritten data (if possible at all), so if you don't have any luck with data recovery software, perhaps you should go for a professional solution, such as a data recovery company.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

Anything overwritten is gone. You can't unflip a flipped bit. Anything not overwritten will probably come back. Call DriveSavers, I've used them before with great results.
