I have been selecting (D: ) NV, my recently purchased 480gb ssd, however when I install GTA v onto it there are various x64files placed as well as a GTAVlauncher and PLAYGTAv application, when these are ran it comes up with bink2w64.dll missing. This is a clean install and I selected (D: ) NV as the install path. It may be worth noting that my Rockstar games folder appears in C:\users\***\documents

So what I would like to know is:
1. Is there anything I am doing wrong to cause this fault?
2. What are the varying x64 (b,r,s,t,u & q) files?
3. What is the bink 2w64.dll file?

My build consists of an asus h97m plus, i5 4460, palit nvidia gtx 970 (reference), 8gb kingston hyper x ddr3 1600mhz, WD blue 1tb and a kingston 480gb ssd. No overclocks.

You must be doing something wrong here mate as I own pretty much the same build and have no problems installing games or programs onto my SSD or 1TB HDD.

When you installed Windows onto the SSD did you change to AHCI before hand and when you installed windows it was a 64bit OS right. When you put the disc it was it an OEM disk and it shows all the x86 bit (32bit OS) OS's and the x64 (64bit OS) then you clicked the x86 bit by mistake?

I have a 64bit OEM windows 7 and I installed it no problem, I play all my Bethesda games and some Hearthstone from my SSD no problem.

Have you tried just installing it on the HDD to see if it will work that way.

I think you may of bugged up your file system some how.

It's was a USB install of windows, 64bit, which is on my hdd. I want the ssd just for games as my computer boots in less than 30 seconds most times anyway. I did a clean install of gta on it and it's working fine now. The game was purchased from Amazon as a download, apparently lots of people have had issues with screwy installs. The filing is still messy( lord knows why) but it plays really smoothly so I don't have any complaints anymore :) thanks for taking the time to reply.
