Solution
years ago I did the all in one when fios came to our neighborhood.
Every night between midnight and 1am and for 20 minutes, my prime time gaming hours, it would go out. I had no cell phone back then so I couldn't call them, couldnt watch tv, and of course couldnt connect to their online help either. This went on for the entire 1yr contract. They never found the issue and wouldnt let me out of the contract either. I eventually got a cellphone just so I could call them too and they still couldnt find the issue nor would they send someone out.

never will I put all 3 services under one umbrella again.

I just got Fios again after a 7yr hiatus. They evidently stopped that server from rebooting but I am still just internet only. LoL

Really! I never thought of that. Right now our cable bill is ridiculous, I think. As you can tell, I truly don't understand wifi other than sort of how it works, but also don't understand how I would not connect the TWC phone I assumed that when you got the package it was an aoutomatic tranfer. I understand that having their phone would give me caller id which I would like but don't really want to pay extra for and I really like have my phone with a separate co.

As for not connecting their phone, thats easy, dont plug ina phone to the modem. You're supposed to plug in the main phoneline so all phones can work with it but you can plug in a just a regular/single phone too (if you wanted). They told me I had to plug in a phone but I never did and my internet and cable tv still worked fine back when I tried TimeWarner all-in-one. Kept my at&t phone of course.`

Must say I don't understand all the conversation has to do with WIFI.

You can add WIFI to anything, regardless of existing services.

To change voice from AT&T to another vendor, OK, but most likely AT&T still owns the wiring but the rate with a third-party landline may work out better for you. Voice through TW is gonna be VOIP, could be a lot cheaper, test it out first if voice quality acceptable.
