Hello, I am currently looking into building a server computer for my little siblings. They like to play games like minecraft and such so I figured I'd try to build a server computer for them and their friends. I am working with a an old Dimension 4600 shell and all the original parts. I want make some upgrades to it so it will run smoothly and handle a lot of players as I am sure they will have all their school friends on the server. It is my understanding that this case will support a micro atx motherboard. So I have picked one out. If this is not compatible please let me know, also what upgrades should I make in order for this computer to handle? I have a somewhat loose budget for this project (around $500).

Thanks much! And here is the motherboard I currently have picked out.

MSI H110M GAMING LGA1151/ Intel H110/ DDR4/ SATA3&USB3.1/ A&GbE/ MicroATX Motherboard

So you're not upgrading a Dimension 4600, but rather building a new PC inside a Dimension case.

I had a couple of those, and the brain ache you will have trying to work with that case limitations is far more than any random, new, $30 case.

Unless you are really, really in love with the looks of that case, just let it go.

@USAFRet your right, I just got carried away haha. I just really need to make good use of this computer. It's my grandma's that I just got because she had to go to assisted living. Just ordered a new cheap case.
