Hello everyone! I'm planing on upgrading mt existing build to a i5 3570k build.
As I was planing on overclocking the CPU I was wondering:

-What is a decent over clocking board for this chipset?
-With a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, what is the max overclock I can expect from this CPU?
-And finally, will my PSU be enough to overclock my CPU and ONLY my CPU?

My current specs are:
*Intel Core I5 3470.
*ASrock H61m vg3.
*(x2) 4GB GSkill Ripjaw DDR3 1600mhz.
*MSI R9 390 Gaming.
*1TB WD Blue HDD.
*250GB SanDisk SSD.
*XFX TS 550W PSU 80+ Bronze.

Thank you for all the help!

@Dulith1118 Thanks for answering! My logic behind this upgrade was that I wanted a K version i5 for overclocking, and here in Argentina I could get a used i5 3570k with a decent OC motherboard by exchanging my CPU and MoBo + a small amount of money on top.

This, however, cannot be done with the new skylake CPUs, and the cost of upgrading to skylake would be far greater than what I can afford atm.

If I only overclock the CPU I my PSU won't handle it? And if I upgrade to skylake, will my PSU handle overclocking that CPU? Thank you!

shouldve mentioned before that ur exchanging...
If ur exchanging yeah go for it but get a decent cooler..
Ur psu is a good quality one but the wattage is lacking though..
Im amazed that 550W ran ur 390 without issues..
Anyways get a 600W or 650W psu but make sure its a tier 1 or tier 2 psu...
Same xfx brand will be much better

What your doing isn't cost effective... If its for gaming your likely to see no more than 5fps gain.... If its for reasons other than gaming then sell your i5 and look at an i7 from the same 3*** series, or isn't haswell on the same socket 1150 if so get an i7 4970
Edit... No the haswell isn't on the same socket, sorry my mistake

Thank you both Dulith1118 and chedda87!

@Dulith1118 yes, I have been running my setup for about 4 months without fail, playing games like Shadows of Mordor or The Division at max settings 1080p.

@Chedda87 The reason behind this "upgrade" per say is gaming, as well as experience. I had a FX 6300 and couldn't overclock it for a lack of a decent board. I got my current CPU + MoBo combo by trading my FX 6300 and ASrock 960gm vgs3 with another person. I always wanted to overclock, so I was looking at either i5 2500k/3570k, or i7 2600k/3770k. I was settling for the 3570k as it has significantly less power usage than it's 2nd gen counterparts, and because there is a lack of i7 3770k in my country's market amt. However, may I ask you what other upgrade path you suggest? I'm willing to go either Intel or AMD, as long as it's an unlocked CPU and performs better (no matter by what margin) to my current setup. Also, if at all possible, without changing my PSU as well. If this isn't the case, however, I'll be forced to upgrade it as well.

Code:
Your money would be alot better spent on going to skylake but that wud mean new ram as well as cpu+mobo.. And because of the lower tdp on skylake you shouldn't need to change psu.. Do not consider AMD now you have Intel...
