External or Internal HDD Storage

Hello,
I'm preparing to build a new gaming PC and I'm considering storage at the moment.
I will be using SSD as a system drive. I also have one older Seagate 1TB Barracuda and an external WD Elements 2TB. But they're ,of course, already full...

I will have one more spot for a HDD in my case. What I want to store is multimedia, videos and such, which I tend to watch occasianally. I also use this drive for a rather frequent downlading. Thus far I've used the 1TB Barracuda for this purpose. Now I'm wondering whether to buy another 2TB external drive or 2TB internal and use that instead of the Barracuda.
I suspect WD puts their Blue HDDs inside their external Elements drives and basically charges 10 dollars extra for the plastic cover. Which price-wise is similar to an internal WD Red. So I'd like to know which one would you consider to be a better option?
I also considered WD Black 2TB, but I'm worried that might be an overkill for this sort of thing. Also the price is 40 dollars more...
Thank you very much for any advice considering this matter!

Problem with smaller drives is - at some point you will run into connectivity issues,
when you want more storage, but there is no way to connect it anymore.
Then you have to swap out smaller drives for bigger ones.

Get external drive only if you intend to carry it around a lot.
If that's not necessary - get internal one.
WD red is very ok choice.
Personally I'd consider getting higher capacity internal hdd for video archives - 4TB minimum (may be even more).
BTW there are already available drives with capacities 5TB, 6TB, 8TB (10TB is way too expensive currently).

And keep that barracuda for frequent downloading. Drives with such usage tend to die in few years.
You don't want your brand new hdd to have such fate.

Thanks for a prompt response. Good point with the Barracuda, I can shuffle some stuff I don't mind losing and leave the rest of the drive for downloads.
As for the large drive, I'd rather keep it smaller in case of a problem. Losing 4TB and more would be a bitter pill to swallow. Also the cost is almost double the 2TB, way beyond my current budget range.
Mostly I cannot determine whether the WD Red is suitable for my purposes or whether I should get another external WD Elements...or maybe even a Seagate?
