Hi folks, I'm looking to buy a screen for our church. It will be wall mounted and I'd hope for something around the 60'' in size. It will only be used to play the odd DVD and more regularly to display powerpoint (from connected laptop)

What would you recommend?

It seems a shame to buy an all singing an dancing 4k, smart, freeview etc when it's really just going to be used as a monitor for the best part.

Any advice gratefully received, cheers.

In that situation the important concern is how far to the most distant viewers/congregation members?

The font size must be large enough for them to see the text being presented. And some fonts can become unreadable if too complicated or fancy. Colors, background, and contrast matter as well.

4k may or may not be helpful depending on the necessary sharpness of the text.

Check this link - there are others:

Be sure to consider ambient lighting, sources of glare, etc.. Anything that causes problems with viewing any screen presentation.

You might think about and consider a projector instead...... May provide you with more flexibility and options.
