I have an Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 with an OC AMD FX 8320 (OC to 4.2ghz).

I have tried setting the frequency on the RAM to 1866 but I get a OC Failed error due to the memory. When I set it back to default 1600mhz, it boots fine... I think I need to change the timings on them, but I am unsure of what they should be,m and what exactly I should be changing?

Solution
It helps to post the exact memory you have Example the 2X8 GB set has 10-10-10-27 timings the 2X4 has 9-9-9-24.
Your probably going to see 0 performance difference in the PC depending on what your using it for and setting the timings looser will show about nothing anyhow.
So anyhow keep the same timings and up the voltage from 1.5 to 1.55 and try it again if it fails up it to 1.6. Run Memtest after it boots to make sure it's stable. If you have the 2X8GB set and it's stable at 1866 with the 1.55 volts then up the volts to 1.6 and set the timings to 9-9-9-24 if it fails then try 1.62 volts. If you have the 2X4 set and it's stable at 1866 with 1.55 volts then you could try 2133 at 1.6 volts if it fails then try 2133 with the 10-10-10-27...
