Hi guys. I bought an S7 some week and a half ago and ever since I bought it battery seemed to suck. I believe it might be faulty. Before i give the phone back to the retailer and lose it for a week, just to possibly be told that its some apps running in th3 background thqt run battery dry, id like to benchmark it (or something like that).

Are there any tools or ways if testing a battery to see if its faulty?

Right now my phone will lose some 15-20% after being charged in less than an hour, without being used. Just put it down on a tablet and battery disappears.
It doesnt last a whole day and i wouldnt say i used the phone a whole lot. My screen was on for 1h and 8 minutes. I listened to some music, sent a few messages on messanger & had few minutes of phonecall. Battery is at 13% after being unplugged some 10 hours ago.

Well it is on by default, the clock that displays when the screen is locked. Even so that only takes about 1% per hour.

Your best bet is going to be talking with the retailer and have them look at it. The S7 is the cleanest Galaxy I have seen, almost no apps on it from Samsung or Verizon. Plus Android 6.0 is supposed to keep background apps from using so much battery.
Sounds like you were unlucky and got a bad battery. My S6 lasts longer than that with heavy use and it has a smaller battery and less efficient CPU.

My S7 Edge however last all day.

One thing you could do is turn off the Always on Display. That drains battery when the phone is idle.
