So I have a 1TB External Hard Drive and when I use command prompt it is telling me that it is in NTFS format but in Disk Management it is saying that it is in a RAW format. I can't read anything on the hard drive and can't reformat it. I don't need to recover anything on the hard drive but I would like to use it again.

Solution
There is no partition on the drive, unallocated space. Go into disk management (win+r then diskmgmt) right click on the drive, click new sinple volume and input the space if the hard drive in MB (max amoumt should be displayed in the dialogue box that you are typing within.) It should prompt you to format and create a name and drive letter. After that it should function like a normal ntfs drive
