I majorly messed up while cleaning my fan/heatsink and I now need to replace a bunch of parts.
I've got most of it figured out, but I have some questions on how to keep my data.
I broke a few pins on my CPU, so I'll be buying a new CPU (probably an I5 6500) and a new motherboard to go with it. Sadly, with my pc not booting right now I can't back anything up. So I was wondering if it is possible to make a clean windows install on a new SSD and to just plug in my old HDD afterwards.
Is this a workable approach or should I just rethink everything? Or do I need to accept that all my data is lost?
Thanks in advance!
