Hi there

I have got Gigabyte GA B75M D3H Reversion 1102r motherboard, and Version F15 of AMI BIOS.

I am trying to boot WD USB HDD external hard drive, which I made bootable windows 7.

But when I power up computer and F12 to get to Boot Device Selection list.
It does not gave me option to selected my WD external HDD, only gave me two internal HDD I have got.
Changed some setting in BIOS then WD external HDD apeared on F12 Boot Deivce Selection list, but I restared again and did F12 and again it only gives selection of two internal HDD I have got.

I haven't used that MB in a long time, but as I recall it is something like this:
Turn the PC OFF
Connect the USB drive
Boot in to BIOS.
Add it to your available boot devices in your boot manager screen
save and exit
boot and press f12

What does this stage mean?

Only BIOS setting I have changed from default is "Storage Boot Option Control" from Legacy Only to Legacy First under BIOS Features tab.

Again still going from memory from a long time ago. As I recall you had to go to the boot manager. There was a list of boot devices. You could select which ones to include on that list. That was the list I recall that f12 presents you with that motherboard.

Given that I am going from memory there is a chance I got part of the above wrong, but I hope it gives you enough to sort it out.

http://bootableusb.net/make-bootable-external-hdd-install-windows-78/

used command to make it.

It just that it does not apear on bootselection list.
I apeared on boot selection list once though somehow, It is a bit random that why I do not get why this is ramdom.
