Did I break a slot on my modular 750w Seasonic power supply?

Hi,

I recently borrowed a pci-e cable from my friend, whose power supply was a 1500 watt corsair. It had the type 3 psu connector, but I accidentally put it into the additional cpu connector on my Seasonic ss750km3 power supply from 2010-2011. The pci-e connector and the psu slot both had 8 pins, so I had assumed they would fit. I plugged the pcie cable into my 6850 as I am trying to run crossfire, and my pc wouldn't turn on. I immediately unplugged it, and removed and reinserted the power cable to my psu. Still no boot. Then, I switched the I/O switch to the opposite position then back. The computer turned on. I tested the pcie slot on the motherboard and it works fine with other gfx cards and I also tested the video card on another pc. Both are functional. SO my question is, will the additional cpu connector work still?

Thanks
