I've been having trouble getting windows 7 to run/install since I got my new mobo, ended up going with ubuntu. (had a copy on a flashdrive already, didn't have internet back then) Anyways...I just want to get win 7 installed on my machine again, I have usb 3.0, no C.D. drive, I do have floppy but I think that might be too dated for this. I'm on my last legs and I'm tired of searching just a simple step by step guide is all I want at this point.
P.S. forgot to mention some details, when running an existing win install i get a bsod; regardless of where I get it from, when I run the installer I usually get an error and it causes it to stop. and when I do repair it starts looking for drivers but can't seem to find any. ~Thanks, moon.

Keep in mind also that if all you have are USB 3.0 ports, and the BIOS does not offer a "legacy" or "USB 1.1/2.0" option for those ports, you will not be able to install Windows 7 via USB as the installer does not support USB 3.0, unless you build a custom install media with USB 3.0 drivers from the PC/Laptop/Motherboard manufacturer.

I currently have a bunch of western digital hard drives in my pc, a couple of em brand new....I don't see how getting a SSD over an HDD would solve the problem as the very same hard drives worked before the new mobo.
P.S; Also I'm a bit curious, besides the connection type is there any difference between an ssd and a usb drive?
