First of all I'd like to make clear that I'm using all new parts.

I have tried every possible method of installing windows 10 as I can.

I have made multiple bootable USBs using the official microsoft 'media creation tool' and rufus of course, on three separate USB sticks. I've made a bootable external hard drive, and I've just bought the official windows 10 pro 64bit CD.

Every single time I try to install windows 10, it shows up with a new BSOD every time.
EDIT: First on the screen is either the ASUS Logo, or the Windows 10 Logo. If Windows 10, it BSODs before the white rotating loading dots appear.

I've had the parts for an entirely new PC (also my first) for about a month. They all came from the same online store. I've RMA'd both my RAM and my Motherboard but the techies said that their wasn't anything wrong with either of them and that they managed to boot to windows fine. I can only assume then, that it has something to do with some other hardware component.

I wondered whether it was the CPU but I thought that you couldn't enter BIOS without a CPU. I didn't want to try that in case something broke.

I also wondered whether it was something to do with incompatible drivers, but I googled that and it seams like you can only update drivers after you have installed the OS. That being said I have updated the UEFI BIOS, but that's different.

Here is a list of all the parts that I'm using:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motherboard: ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming Intel Z170, DDR4, ATX, LGA1151

Processor: Intel Skylake Core i5-6600 3.30Ghz, 6MB, LGA1151

CPU Heat Sink + Fan: Noctua NH-U12S CPU Cooler with NF-F12 PWM

RAM: Corsair CMK8GX4M2A2400C14 Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4-2400 CL14

HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB 6Gb/s SATA3

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO Series 120GB M.2 SSD (MZ-N5E120BW)

Graphics Card: ASUS STRIX-GTX950-DC2OC-2GD5-GAMING GeForce GTX950 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E3.0

PSU: Corsair RM Series RM750 750W Fully Modular PSU 80Plus Gold

Case: Corsair Carbide Series 330R Blackout Edition Ultra-Silent Mid-Tower
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please help, It sucks having a brand new PC there in front of me for 4 weeks but not being able to do anything with it.

UPDATE:
I've just successfully installed Windows 10 on my NEW hard drive using my OLD computer.
I then installed the hard drive back into my NEW computer and tried to boot from it.
Exactly the same thing: Windows 10 Logo then BSOD.

UPDATE:
Here is a list of the BSOD messages I'm getting
------------------------------------------------------------
kmode_exception_not_handled

kmode_exception_not_handled acpi.sys

irql_not_less_or_equal

driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

system_thread_exception_not_handled

I'm just trying ubuntu now. I'll get back to you if it works or not.
Well, I used Rufus to create a bootable USB. I chose to run Ubuntu without installing it and I've been staring at a blank screen for the past 5 minutes.

As unlikely as this might be, when I RMA'd for new RAM I could have been given another set of faulty ones(the sealed tape was untouched, so they didn't test them). Is this possible though? Because I can get into the BIOS fine.

Edit: Wasn't the RAM

I HAVE THIS SAME EXACT PROBLEM!! WE NEED HELP!! I've tried everything, it can't be the ram because I borrowed my friends ram, which is working 100%, to test it and still get the same BSODs you keep getting. I even tried unplugging all my drives and just booting on the USB stick I have with windows installed on it. People on other websites say to go into the cmd by using the bootable USB, but I can't even get into that because it just BSOD..

Hopefully we can resolve this issue. I've been trying everything and probably put 12 hours of work messing around with my bios. If I somehow magically fix this I'll let you know

you should start another thread.
and include a memory dump from c:\windows\minidump (place the dump file on a server and post a link)

I am having the exact same problem right now. Did you ever find a solution or the cause of your problem??

I sent the entire PC back to the shop where I got the parts, they tested it and it turns out the CPU was faulty. Annoying really because it worked well enough to get into BIOS but not to install any operating system on.

I’m having same problem even after I changed the motherboard does a new cpu work?
