my windows 7 keeps deleting my old system restore point that i've manually created.. everytime there's an auto restore point being made... for example I installed/uninstall/update a software.. then poof there's an auto restore created..and my old restore point gone... is it possible to turn off the auto restore, while leaving my created restore point still intact?
or is there any way to save my windows 7 current state without system restore?

Solution
Why not just increase the amount of space allotted to restore points? That way you can have multiple restore points without one new one deleting your manual one. But a better idea would be to get an external hard drive and make periodic full system backups to it. You can buy 1 TB drives these days for around $55.
