The PC I want to build includes the fastest skylake refresh unlocked core i5 that's going to be released this year that I will OC to in the low to mid 4ghzs and the gpu will be a Nvidia GTX 1070 that will be released in about two months and 16 gb of DDR4 RAM. Will the perfomance of this build last me about 4 years if I want to play every game that comes out in the future on Ultra settings and without any Antialaising at 1080p?

You may want to upgrade the graphics card after a couple of years or so, but should be ok.

If we go back to what would be the similar card 4 years ago, look at the 670 - still a totally usable card at 1080p if you are sensible with the settings.

I don't know of any fortune tellers on this site...

Seeing as the parts you mention are mostly fictional at this point I would just wait until we have specs to go by. Until then you can talk to people about real components.

If the past 5 years average is anything to go by, the middle grade gaming class components will be up to 20% quicker than last gen and will still not last 4 years at Ultra res...as they never have before. If you want to make sure you don't have to upgrade for a long time, aim for something that can handle the next standard comfortably as it will crush the current standard...just an idea...

Good luck

If you get the i5 Skylake CPU you can have that atleast 4 years without a problem, cpu power haven't increase that drasticly the last years and i think it wont do in the near future eather.

the GPU i would think can handle atleast 2 years without a problem, it really depends on how much games will develop in graphics, but if you want to be future proff in 1080p i would go for a 1080
