Laptop power supply adapter overheats

Hi. The power supply adapter of my old Toshiba satellite 2450-s203 overheats. It was not a problem in the winter, but now it is. I have to shutdown after some minutes of use because it becomes quickly too hot. Is there any chance to fix it? Thanks.
