Hey guys,

So im gonna build a new pc and im interested in the new i7 6th generation processor 6700k.
Can someone suggest me the best motherboard to go with???

Solution
Correct, install Motherboard utilities you will have a software called aisuite i believe that has 5 way optimization that you can run, what it will do is it will test your cpu to the highest clock stable, once it reaches unstable your pc will restart you will be given highest stable clock that you can lower down at any time. With this you don't have to play with voltages etc yourself :) it will also manage you fan speeds and coupe of other things :D

The whole point of the 6700k is to be overclocked. Thats why it has the k on it. Go fro the standard i7 6700 non-k and a ASUS h170 Pro Gaming mobo. If you changer your mind about OCing, go with the ASUS z170 pro gaming, and the 6700 yes-k

There is literally no point in buying i7 6700k if you're not going to overclock.

For i7 6700k buy Asus Z170-A, it will overclock the cpu automatically using smart cpu intelligence to the best stable overclock so you can't fry your cpu. You can lower the clock at any time to any lover GHz below the stable one. Make sure you buy 3rd party cooler before you overclock the cpu (h100i from corsair is nice)

If you don't want to overclock at all then buy non K version with H170 motherboard like gigabyte h170-d3h or asus h170 pro gaming.

Well except for the fact that i7 6700 non k has only 3.4 ghz while 6700k has 4ghz. Looking like in addition to being an unlocked cpu 6700k is something like a factory overclocked version of 6700(non-k) akin to GPU.
