I recently bought a stock HP PC and just wanted to install an additional SSD and a new video card. I booted up the PC fresh outta the box and everything went smoothly. After getting through the initial setup, I shut down the computer, opened it up and plugged in my new SSD.

I needed a new power supply to have the requisite power for my two addons (the SSD and the video card), so I ripped my old power supply from my previous machine that previously had the old video card.

After plugging everything up, the computer simply won't turn on and I can't figure out why.

In summary, there are three new pieces added to this stock PC: an additional SSD, an additional video card, and a new power supply.

I tried to just plug everything up as it came in the box, removing the SSD, the video card, and reinstalling the old power supply and it still won't come on! Please help!

Specs:
Stock PC: HP envy - model 750-114
Intel Core i5-6400
12GB PC3-12800 DDR3L
2TB SATA hard drive
Intel HD Graphics 530

New video card: Radeon HD 5850

New SSD: SanDisk 240 GB SSD
SATA revision 3.0

I figured it out. When I was unplugging the SATA connectors to install the SSD, I had to unplug the cord that runs to the power button (on my motherboard it is named "F-Panel". Since this cord was loose, the power button was not properly sending the message to the machine to boot up.
