I have a Macbook Pro 2009 in which I downloaded with Bootcamp Windows 7 to run some games. I bought Grand Theft Auto 5 and I installed it. But, when it has finished, it says that is unable to initialize Directx 9.

how can I fix this?

Yeah, if you got GTA to work then what you're experiencing now is because of low system performance. If you beef things up you should be good to go from here. Let me know if I can be of any further help and don't forget to hit best solution on your way out!

You might not have some prerequisites installed yet (i.e. .net framework, visual studios, etc). Check out the requirements for the game and make sure you have everything installed and try then. Also, if you installed bootcamp, you need to restart before you install anything else. Apple is real sensitive about that. I did that same thing on a same model and it blue screened out on me for installing Office.

Ok, but framework has been installed within the installation of the game. It seems like it's all installed, but directx 9 is unable to initalize.

yeah, I tried. But when I checked the version of directx that is installed with the game and it said "directx 11" and not 9. So i really don't know what to do, I'm stuck here for days.

(by the way, excuse my English, I'm from Italy)

I would imagine directx11 would work just as well. I have played other games with higher versions of what they requested and it worked just fine (i.e. framework, visual library, directx, etc). Install the new version and try launching the game.

So I have to delete directx 11 and re-install it? And when it's done i have to restart my computer?

It didn't worked:/
Maybe it's because Apple disabled graphic cards on installed windows 7. When I go to Device manager, instead of my graphic card Nvidia there's "Standard VGA graphic card" - maybe because of that I can't make GTA 5 work...

Well, i fixed Directx, but the game crashes everytime, even at low settings. Maybe is my computer a little bit old and slow.
It's an Intel i3 dual core with 4gb of ram with 256mb dedicated memory. I need at least a good quad core with a 8gb of ram and a powerful Nvidia GT graphic card.
