I recently bought a SuperMicro X8DTT-F-SG007 and 2 xeon e5620's. The plan was to upgrade from my g3258 because it really holds back my r9 290. Both cpu's combined should perform much better in all multi threaded programs, games, and most tasks in general. The problem is I plugged in the cpu's, the ram, and the 20 pin connector and it doesn't boot. The only thing that happens is I hear a clicking coming from the power supply. I know I need a hard drive, but It should at least show bios without it. Also this board doesn't have a 4 or 8 pin cpu power connector so.... I have tried 2 different power supplies, a corsair 430m, and cx500. Both only produce a faint clicking noise but the fan doesn't spin and the mobo doesn't power up or show bios. Please help! Do I need a special power supply? Is the mobo blown?
