I have two 256SSD's in my lap, gradually they've started failing me more and more often.

When there's a problem, the pc freezes for about 15-25sec, usualy during gameplay or watching a movie, but lately for everyday apps as well :(

Is there anything i can do to fix this ?
i'd prefer to not replace them

Hey there, Logan3D.

Well, if it the problem is caused by the drives themselves, unfortunately there's no way to fix them. However the culprit might be something else as well, such as a virus, a faulty SATA cables or port, GPU, faulty RAM.

Basically the first thing you need to do is to backup your important data. This goes for both drives, as it's not uncommon for faulty secondary drive to be causing such issues, so at this point you can't be 100% which drive is at fault (if any). After that I'd suggest that you download the SSD manufacturer's diagnostic tool (or a 3rd party SSD diagnostic tool if the manufacturer doesn't offer one) and test both drives for errors.

Try updating or reinstalling your GPU's driver as well, to see if...

If you have separate RAM sticks, try the laptop with only one of the sticks connected to it (by switching both) and to see if the problem continues

If nothing out of the ordinary pops-up, perhaps it would be best for you to take the laptop to a computer service shop and get it diagnosed, to see if there's an error with its ports, cables, motherboard, GPU, RAM, etc.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how everything goes.
