Evening. I have a WD My Cloud EX2 NAS connected to a AT&T Uverse Motorola NVG589. I also have a Synology Router (RT1900ac) setup as a wireless access point for all devices in the house. Wireless is disabled on the Motorola. Windows 10 PC using an ALFA AWUS036ac network adapter. I transferred all the data from the NAS to a 6TB Western Digital hard drive on my desktop without many issues, reformatted the 2 4TB hard drives in the NAS to act as one large drive, and now I'm trying to transfer the data back but every time I try it transfers a few MBs then the connection fails and I get kicked off my home network. I try to run a diagnostic as admin and it tells me one or more protocols are missing on this computer. I have to unplug the network adapter and plug it back in to get it to connect again. What gives?

Hey there again, Kyjuand!

I hope everything went well with your classes! :) Have you tried resolving the issue by enabling the wireless on the network getaway? I'd also recommend you try accessing the WD My Cloud EX 2 from another computer in your network and check if the same errors will be showing up.
What about manually reinstalling the network drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's website? I'd suggest you give that one a try as well and see what happens.

Keep me posted!

Welcome to the community, Kyjuand!

I'd suggest you try to resolve the issue by uninstalling & reinstalling the adapter and network drivers. Check if all the network cables are properly connected. You could also try the suggested solution in this thread as well. There some CMD (Admin) commands you could use as well. Updating the firmware on your router might also be a good idea.

If that doesn't help you should try reinstalling the WD My Cloud EX2 and set it up from scratch again.

Hope these help you. Keep me posted.

Sorry I was gone so long. Classes took a nasty turn and had to focus. Now I attempted the solutions you suggested, SuperSoph_WD, but had no luck. The CMD commands did not resolve the issue, reinstalling the My Cloud yielded no results, and attempting to install the Reliable Multicast Protocol was a failure as well...mainly because I could never get the protocol to show up. Any other suggestions?

I for a suggestion to move my access point closer. I moved it to the hallway outside of the back bedroom where the computer is and the network connection worked for about 6 - 8 minutes instead of about 30 to 45 seconds. This a clue?
