I'm building a new PC mainly for gaming, will be getting an i5-6500, wondering if the z170a-x1 is a good choice

1| For a Z170 chipset it seems to a form of bare minimum spec'd board with somewhat low quality capacitors and power phases. The purpose of going with a Z170 board is to overclock your K suffix processor and you're thinking of pairing it with an i5-6500 which in all honesty is a moot endeavor.
2| Drop down to a B150 or H series chipset motherboard.
3| Best would be to follow this guide and post a follow up to this thread to receive suggestions from the community.

Thank you for the reply, I have already built my computer by now though, I went with a Gigabyte Z170-HD3P Rev1.0

I opted for a Z170 mostly cause I wanted to have the available leeway to upgrade to an overclockable CPU in the future for the most part.
