This is a question I'm trying to find an answer. I have a Lumia 535 and today, I decided to do a hard reset to it. Trouble is, that once I did the factory hard reset with hardware keys while booting up, it apparrently returned back to 8.1.
Should I have done it from the Win10's settings instead, via fatory restore ?
It seems, that when you install the Win10 to Lumia, the old 8.1 is backup behind it, sucking up unnecessary space from already small amount if hardrive space (8Gb). So if there's no way of removing those and doing a clean install of Win10 Mobile, I assume, the 8.1 files are there till this July, when the free upgrade (7/8/8.1 ---> Win 10) offer ends.
Anyone has experience about these things ?
