I was gonna use a module cable from a dead psu and it has some molex cables and at the end a pcie power connector, the problem here is there's 4 wires instead of six connected to the cable... why is that and will it work to help power my gtx 460, I only have one pcie on my psu and it requires 2

Solution
If there are only 4 wires, it cannot be a PCIe connector.
That sounds more like an EPS connector.
Perhaps it's time for a new PSU that does have 2 connectors.
