1 long beep 3 short beeps issue, but want to use on board graphics?

Hi,

New member here. I got a slight problem with my computer thar i just built. I aint purchased a graphics card as i am looking to use the on boards graphics just for basic stuff, however, im not getting no picture and my computer beeps 1x long 3x short.

The motherboard i have is a gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-HD2.

I have reseated my cpu and memory but still same issue. Helppp

What cpu are you using? Take out the ram/memory and boot the pc and if its 1 beep repeating the boards fine. The beep code your giving is usually a gpu/ram issue.

Seems like i may know the issue. The process is an AMD Athlon, but on the box it says "requires discrete gpu". I guess this nullifies any hope for using on board graphics?

depending on what the cpu is then no

The processor is an amd athlon x4 black edition 3.7ghz. Im borrowing a graphics card from my friend to see if it resolves the issue.

you need a dedicated gpu to get video
