My motherboard has a BIOS feature that sets the fans to a certain speed until a certain CPU temp (I think it may actually be socket temp) is reached, then the fan speeds up to 100% and goes fucking nuts. Should I enable this feature? Right now, on my 8350 w/212 Evo, I have it set to ~1450 RPM until the "CPU" heats up to 55c, then the fan ramps up to 100% (2000 RPM) and wind turbines until it cools down. Is this a solid feature, or is it sorta pointless?
