I have as the title states a Hp envy dv7 7233nr with beats audio, the CPU that is in the laptop currently is a AMD a8-4500 I heard about some people switching out the a8 with an a10 so my question is. Would it be possible for me to change mine out because it is removable I already checked on that by taking the laptop apart. Also what would be the prospective upgrade for my laptop.

I know that they are combined, but they have a combined TDP limit. When the iGPU is running at full speed, the CPU Turbo Boost is not available and may even be throttled further.

Why not? Cost effectiveness. You are looking to spend a decent amount for a very modest improvement. Why, as in what is your computer doing that needs to be better?

It is likely better to put the money aside for replacement

Well I rarely get money, I do work but I don't make a monthly or even weekly salary (Don't ask why) So anyways I figure I can get the AMD A10-5750M for about 40$ which seems to be the best CPU/GPU currently for my laptop. I will be replacing the thermal paste on the stock card tomorrow I will be using Arctic MX-4 and if it helps my laptop perform better then I will wait. But I would still prefer to upgrade from 1.9Ghz to 2.4ghz

These two reviews show the modest performance increase.

Advice like this is nearly always based on cost/benefit. It is helpful for us to know that you are planning to buy used, old stock, or second-hand parts. My earlier advice was based in retail, new, prices, where the cost is not worth the performance increase. For less than $40, it may be worth it to you.

Well suffice to say I don't think I will be upgrading the laptop after all, I have taken it apart successfully 3 times prior to receiving the Arctic MX-4.

So I opened it up again this morning applied the Arctic to the CPU after cleaning off the old and put it all back together. Laptop will not display anything currently, it has the orange wifi light on and the power button light and the caps lock is blinking over and over continuously.

I have tried many of the supposed fixes online, such as holding down the f8 f10 and escape key, I also tried tapping the keys over and over no dice.
Taking out the CMOS battery taking it apart 2 more times to make absolutely sure everything was plugged in correctly and seated. I tried a hard reset even still the same condition.

I heard that it could be due to the excessive temperature it was running at, about 75-80c only while running a browser with a few tabs and a small game. Not under load at idle almost 50-60c.

So if anyone has a fix for my particular laptop I would appreciate it.
