Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

Seems a little high really, but AMD CPUs runs always hot (compared to Intel) I would says than those 67°C could be normal but I always prefer keep my CPUs under 50°C if is possible.

At this time, you could run the CPU without problems but you will need a good cooler really, What about something like the H80i or h100i?

Yeah. The cpu hasn't overheated and shut off yet so that's nice. And yeah I saw those coolers before but I have no clue how liquid cooling works.

NO, 67C is not normal.
The maximum safe core temperature is 62C, the maximum socket temperature is 70C.
You should by no means think it's safe, try to cool it down.
Change thermal paste, try to reseat heatsink, clean dust off heatsink and case..

EDIT: Liquid cooling works by taking the heat off the CPU and delivering it through the liquid in the tube to the radiator,\.
The radiator then cools the liquid and returns it to the CPU through the other tube and the cycle repeats.
You can still install a backplate, but I think you need to remove your motherboard from the case, install backplate and reseat the motherboard.

I've done all of those things... Twice. Also, when I say 67c, that's the max it's gotten to. It occasionally spikes to 67. But actually while playing it's usually around 60c.

Fx 8320 has a max safe temp of 62c core/ 70c socket. Chances are your 67c is socket temp, thus, it is still safe.

If you don't plan on overclocking, the CM hyper 212 would be the best entry level cooler given the situation. H80i/H100i are great if you plan on overclocking your CPU. Also, if you increase your case airflow, you could see the CPU temps drop by a few degrees.

What do you use for a case, mobo, and PSU?

My case is a sentey stealth GS-6008 PLUS, mobo is this: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-DDR3-Micro-Motherboard-GA-78LMT-USB3/dp/B009FC3YJ8/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1461185981&sr=1-2&keywords=gigabyte+motherboard
And psu is a 600w bronze evga. And I would get the 212 hyper if I could. But again, no backplate cutout.

I am sorry, I meant to say CM Hyper T4, uses the existing AM3+ brackets.

Unfortunately, your case doesn't have a top exhaust fan and the rear fan only 80mm. Add side fans to increase airflow. Your mobo will need it.

Furthermore, your mobo isn't ideal for the Fx 8 cores. It lacks the power phase to support the 125w 8 core CPUs. You might run into temp or stability issues.

Okay yeah that cooler would probably work well.
Also, I do have side fans but there isn't enough room for them on the mobo.
And I haven't run into any stability issues, it's just the temp. So what you're saying is that my mobo is pretty much causing the heat?

Alright awesome. I wasn't planning on overclocking anyway. I think this cpu is strong enough for me. Thanks for all of the help!
Also, can you send me a link to that cooler on amazon if possible?
