Can't decide what ram to use..

Hi, can someone tell me if one stick of 8gb ram 1666mhz is better than four same sticks of 2gb ram running at 1333 mhz?
They're all ddr3 ram and my motherboard is h97 hd3.
Im only asking this question because i have those 4 spare rams and i just want to fill those ugly ram slots.

1866 mhz > 1333

The only advantage of multiple sticks is dual channel. Probably makes it a wash in performance between the two.

I you already own the 4 rams it's a no brainer, because going from 1333 to 1666 yields no discernable diffence in real world use. And if you are lucky and the rams are identical, you will get dual channel witch will make the 1333 better, again, to no discernable results. so.. yeah

You might do just a hair better with the 8GB stick but I'd try the 4x@GB, if they all play and run , no need to spend extra to try the 8GB stick.

I already have the 8gb stick and 4 sticks of 2gb ram. My question is will the 2gb rams run autommatically in dual channel mode or i have to configure something?

No configuration. They just need to be dientical, and a bit of luck.
