z97 board or h97 board?

I want to upgrade my motherboard for my i7 4790 and I'm not sure if I should get a z97 or a h97?

i'm currently using a h81m-h: it has no usb 3 headers for my case which i really need, i'm gonna upgrade to pascal and need pcie 3.0 because it has 2.0 and i need an m.2 ssd port.

Assuming you also dont intend to sli, just find a board that has what you need it doesnt matter. But check the specs if you're going to use PCIE m.2 as i think they may be limited to 2x.
