Logitech mouse m325 stopped working after 4 months. Bought a new one. It does not work either. Batteries are fine.

My Logitech mouse stopped working after working for months without issues. I bought a new one which doesn't work either. It looks like the only "mouse" the laptop sees is the built-in on the keyboard. Both the old mouse and the new one work fine on a different laptop.

1| Can you please pass on the make and model of your laptop including your OS? It'd also be a good idea to pass on your dummy/test laptop where you verified the mouse works.
2| Have you made sure your drivers for your mobile computing device are up to date and that no BIOS updates are pending?
3| Did you rule out the same issue on your test laptop by running culprit mouse on test laptop for the period of 4 months before ruling the mouse as the issue? In hindsight you'd also need to make sure the OS on both units are the same.
4| According to Logitech's support page, you'd need to install Logitech's unifying software engine to optimally operate your mouse. Have you also made sure you're using the software's suggested for download...
